Sustainability at The Humble Lamp
We believe that kindness should extend beyond people - it should include the planet we share. Every Humble Lamp is made with care in Melbourne, Australia, not just for the person receiving it, but for the world it is made in.
Eco-friendly Materials.
Our lamps are 3D-printed using PLA (polylactic acid) - a biodegradable plastic made from renewable plant sources such as corn starch or sugarcane. Unlike petroleum-based plastics, PLA breaks down under the right industrial composting conditions, reducing long-term waste and our reliance on fossil fuels.

Why 3D Printing is a Better Choice.
Made to order - We only print lamps when they are requested, which means no excess inventory and no wasted stock.
Precision manufacturing - 3D printing creates very little scrap material compared to traditional manufacturing.
Repair, not replace - If a part breaks, we can reprint just that piece, keeping lamps in use for longer.
Responsible Packaging.
We use sturdy recyclable cardboard packaging to protect each lamp on its journey. The cardboard and any paper inserts are made from recycled materials whenever possible. No unnecessary plastic wraps, foam, or fillers - only what is needed to keep your lamp safe.
Small Steps, Big Impact.
By combining mindful materials, made-to-order production, and recyclable packaging, we aim to keep our footprint as small as possible. Every lamp is a little light for someone - without leaving a big shadow on the planet.
